Earl Simmons known as DMX (dark man X) has sold over 74 million records world wide. Starting his rap career in the 1990s with his debut album ‘It’s Dark and Hell is Hot’ in 1998 which went onto sell 251,000 copies in the first week of release. A year later he released his best selling album ‘And Then There Was X’ which included ‘Party Up In Here’. In 2003 he released ’Wheres the Hood At?’ and ‘X Gon Give It to Ya’.
As well as rapping, DMX was also an actor having featured in films such as ‘Cradle 2 the Grave’, ‘Last Hour’ and ‘Romeo Must Die’ to name a few.
The legend DMX passed away in April 2021, leaving the rap world mourning.
